SOUTHFIELDS THEATRE GROUP
a local drama team supported by our wonderful community
About STG
Southfields Theatre Group (STG) was formed in 2008 by a group of like-minded Southfields residents who felt there was an amateur dramatics gap to fill in the village. That group has expanded to twenty-five active members. Some are budding actors, some are evergreen thespians. Others play vital production and organisational roles, providing sets and lights, technical, visual and written creativity, costumes and props, as well as pulling in good audiences and balancing the books.
Reflecting the local community’s interests, STG’s repertoire combines carefully chosen plays with sharp revues and riotous pantos. We also hold dramaworkshops, masterclasses in acting techniques, play-readings and theatrical excursions.
Venues include the Earl Spencer on Merton Road, St Barnabas Church and St Michael’s School. Most rehearsals are at the Aspire Centre atSouthfields Community College.
