Director Required

Our group, which is based in Southfields, London SW18, was established in October 2008 and since then we have successfully staged three shows. Our first production was Cinderella, the pantomime, followed by a comedy farce Forty in July last year which played to full houses over three nights. We have just finished our second pantomime, 1001 Arabian Nights, which was very well received by an audience of 600 over four performances.

We’re about to start planning our next production for May this year and now that we are more established, the group would like to invite a director to work with us on a voluntary basis to help select a suitable production, as well as to direct it.

We have a rehearsal space at a local drama studio for weekday evening rehearsals and we have also developed a relationship with The Earl Spencer, the award-winning gastro pub, where we are able to stage productions in their function room for an audience of 60. This is where we staged Forty.

Ideally you will be living within easy travelling distance to Southfields. It is vital that you are able to commit to the time required for such a role and you are able to work with a group where members also give their time voluntarily.

If you feel this opportunity is something you could get involved with, please contact Antony on 020 8870 0730 or email us at contact@southfieldstheatregroup.org.uk
